Ian's First Carson Jersey

Ian got a Carson Palmer jersey from Grandma Quinter and has been wearing it proudly. The Bengals are finally having a good season, so we are excited that his first season as a Bengals fan is not filled with all of the sorrows of the last 20 years of Bengals football (at least not yet!). He enjoyed showing off his new jersey for his Grandma and Grandpa Clune when they visited last weekend.

We are also having adventures in learning how to eat rice cereal....lots of fun!

4 Months Old....

Ian is now just over 4 months old. He is very active and growing up too fast. He loves to play in his bouncy seat and makes all kinds of noises. We are having so much fun with him!

3 Months Old

Ian turned 3 months old on September 19th. He weighed in at 14 lb 3 oz and was 24.5 inches long at his doctor's appointment on September 23rd. He is growing and changing every day. He loves to watch the Ohio State football games with his dad!

On the Road Again.....

Over Labor Day weekend, Ian and I made the trip up to Akron OH for my Grandma Rotilie's 90th birthday. It was the first time Ian got to meet his Great Grandma and most of my mom's family. We had a great time. It was so good to see everyone!

I unexpectedly got the day off on Monday that weekend so I decided to cancel my Sunday flight and bring Ian back to Minster instead to surprise his dad and the rest of the Clune family. Adam has an annual Strikeout Tournament that features many of his closest friends playing one on one baseball in the backyard at his mom and dad's house. He was excited that Ian got to attend his first Strikeout Tournament this year! Burke Granger won the trophy for the 5th time and is the oldest player ever to win the tournament. We are giving him props on our website even though he and Ian have had their differences. We hope some day they can be friends :)

A few other photos.....

My friend Autumn and her fiance' Aaron visited a few weekends ago and were excited to meet Ian.....

Ian helped his daddy get some work done that weekend as well!

My Little Porcupine....

I have been getting home pretty late from work so I don't get to spend much time with Ian before he goes to bed. One of my favorite things is to watch him after he has fallen asleep. He is just so peaceful and so sweet and I just can't get enough of him so I stand by his crib and stare. Last night I snapped this picture. One of the things I have loved the most about him since he was born is his hair. To me he looks like a little porcupine in this picture.

Time Flies.....

I went back to work on August 3rd. As you can see my last post was August 2nd.....my return to work as dashed my dreams of being a more regular blogger :) So I guess it will be sporadic updates from now on!

Ian turned 9 weeks old yesterday and I just can't believe it. Time does fly! He had his two month visit at the pediatrician and it went well. He is growing and changing every day. He weighed in at 11 lb 14 oz and was 24.5 inches long which is in the 92nd percentile for length. We were pretty surprised by that as neither of us is very tall, but maybe Adam will get a 6 ft 4 inch left handed pitcher out of him some day after all. Ian also started smiling at us occasionally a few weeks ago, but it has been hard to capture it on camera. I caught a mini smile this morning when I was taking some two month pictures.

Since my last post we also went home for the Alumni Softball Tournament in Minster which was a great weekend. 4 of my closest friends had babies around the time I had Ian. Mr. Jackson was born 4 days before Ian on June 15th (Ian's due date!). Ms. Maggie was born one week after Ian on June 26th. Mr. Drew (not pictured) was born on July 14th. Ms. Lillian was born on July 21st. All of the babies are happy and healthy and the mommies are doing well too! We are all so truly blessed. We had a great time getting to see almost all of Ian's little buddies in one place (and tons of friends and family too)!

Visiting The Ross Family.....

Yesterday Ian and I traveled to Huntsville, AL to visit Erin (Baker) and Jason Ross and their precious four kids. Their youngest, Andrew Thomas, was born 2.5 weeks ago and is doing great. It was hard for me to believe how much Ian has grown when I saw him next to Ian.

Bella is the oldest and she was a pro "big sister". She held Ian and helped me feed him. When Ian held her finger she proclaimed "He likes me!". She told Erin after we left that she wished her new brother would grow hair like Ian's because then she could brush it and fix it for him :) Amelia also held Ian and helped feed him and Will very much wanted to put Ian's passie in his mouth, but Ian would not cooperate with that so we had to just put it in the pocket in his little outfit. It was great to see them and we had a great day!

One Week Photos are In

All of the proofs from Ian's one week photo session are now online at www.simplicitybychristy.com. Go to client proofing on the bottom right and the password is Ian. I think you will find they were worth the torture! Enjoy!

Family Vacation

Last week, we got to go on a Quinter Family vacation for the first time in many years and it was so much fun to have Ian with us on his first family vacation. The whole family was there at some point during the week which was a rare accomplishment. We had such a great time. Here are just a few photos from a great trip.

One month old!

It is so hard for us to believe that Ian is one month old today! How can the time fly by this quickly? From being born, which is a lot of work, to his trip home for the 4th of July and now he is on vacation in Wisconsin with his Quinter family, he has had an eventful first month. In his first 30 days he has taken the long car ride to Ohio, seen fireworks, been baptized, been on two air planes to travel to Wisconsin and on his one month birthday he took his first ever ride on a boat! He is growing like a weed and no longer fits into most of his clothes and today we even had to go up to the size 1 diapers! We are more in love with him every day and are so truly blessed to have him in our lives.
