One Week Photos are In

All of the proofs from Ian's one week photo session are now online at www.simplicitybychristy.com. Go to client proofing on the bottom right and the password is Ian. I think you will find they were worth the torture! Enjoy!

Family Vacation

Last week, we got to go on a Quinter Family vacation for the first time in many years and it was so much fun to have Ian with us on his first family vacation. The whole family was there at some point during the week which was a rare accomplishment. We had such a great time. Here are just a few photos from a great trip.

One month old!

It is so hard for us to believe that Ian is one month old today! How can the time fly by this quickly? From being born, which is a lot of work, to his trip home for the 4th of July and now he is on vacation in Wisconsin with his Quinter family, he has had an eventful first month. In his first 30 days he has taken the long car ride to Ohio, seen fireworks, been baptized, been on two air planes to travel to Wisconsin and on his one month birthday he took his first ever ride on a boat! He is growing like a weed and no longer fits into most of his clothes and today we even had to go up to the size 1 diapers! We are more in love with him every day and are so truly blessed to have him in our lives.

Ian Goes to Minster.....

Last weekend, we made the trip home to Ohio to introduce Ian to all of our family and friends. The trip started out a little shaky as I was in the front seat and Ian was in the back seat crying on and off. Finally we bit the bullet and stopped and I moved to the back seat. When I got back there, I realize how bumpy the ride was and how unsupported Ian's head was in his carseat. I packed his head in blankets and after that he slept most of the way home (and on the way back to Nashville). I am just hopeful no permanent damage was done to his little brain in the first few hours :)

We got to Minster on Friday afternoon and went over to Elkings' house on Friday night. Ian got to meet all of his cousins and his Aunt Steph and Uncle Greg. We had a cookout and the kids played bean bags and on the trampoline. We had so much fun hanging out!
Saturday was Ian's first 4th of July and he was a busy boy! In the morning we went to Rosie and George's to introduce him to his Great Aunt and Uncle....

Then we made the trip over to the Dutch Mill to meet his uncle Pup.
After that we headed over to Lake St. Marys to the Buschur's lake house so he could meet his buddy Jackson was born 4 days before him. As you can see they are already the best of friends :)

After the lake, we went back to Minster for a party at Grandma and Grandpa Quinter's house. Ian got to meet his Great Grandpa Quinter, his Great Uncle Rudy and Aunt Becky, as well as several of his aunts and uncles, first cousins once removed (Mike and Mark), second cousins (Maddy, Meghan and Andrew) and several of our friends who stopped over to visit him.

At the end of the day he was a tired little guy and slept through the fireworks!

On Sunday, Ian was baptized at St. Augustine with all of his family present. Josh and Katie were his God parents. He slept through most of the ceremony and did not make a peep when the water was poured on his head! He got to wear the beautiful gown that his Grandma Clune made for her children, so it was the same gown that his father and God father were baptized in. What a special day!

We were sad to leave Minster to come back to Nashville, but we got some chicken sandwiches at the Tasty before we headed out of town. Adam was glad to be home with all of his boys when we got back :)

Ian spent his first night in his crib in his room the night we got back. The little teddy bear blanket that his cousin Jayden picked out for him kept him company and he slept well!
